Reverse Cycle Ducted heating and Cooling Melbourne

Reverse Cycle Ducted Air Conditioning Systems (or Central Air Conditioning) provide discreet air conditioned comfort throughout your entire home. The benefit of a reverse cycle ducted is that it does both heating and cooling from the same vents. Another key benefit of a reverse cycled ducted heat pump is that it is cheaper to run compared to a gas ducted system.

Types of Central Air Conditioning Systems

There are two main types of central reverse cycle air conditioning systems used in homes these days, split wall hung & split ducted systems.

A split central ducted reverse cycle system is in 2 main parts,

  1. An air handling unit (indoor unit) which can be in the roof space for a ducted system
  2. The condenser (outdoor unit) which needs good ventilation around it and is usually positioned against an outside wall of the home away from the area to be cooled. The outside unit will make some noise, therefore you will want to position it to comply with any council regulations to not annoy neighbours.
